AllScience respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and reserve the right to remove or disable access to material we believe in good faith infringes another's rights, and to terminate repeat infringers' accounts.

How to file a takedown notice

Your notice must include, under penalty of perjury:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. The URL of the material you claim is infringing (must be specific enough for us to locate it).
  4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, email.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner (or authorized to act on behalf of the owner).

Misrepresentation warning. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), filing a false DMCA notice may make you liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent including:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed, and its location before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or San Diego, CA if outside the U.S.), and consent to accept service of process from the original claimant.

Repeat infringer policy

We terminate accounts and, where appropriate, access rights of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
